NZ vs AUS, 2nd Test Rocks need 202 runs and New Zealand six wickets to win the second Test after both teams had highs and lows on the third day.
Australia were 102-4 at stumps on day three, still needing another 100 runs to win the match.
Earlier, New Zealand had resumed on 134-2 in their second innings, a lead of only 40.
But they lost wickets at regular intervals and were eventually bowled out for 242, setting Australia a target of 302.
Australia’s run chase got off to a solid start, with openers David Warner and Usman Khawaja putting on 50 for the first wicket.
But New Zealand struck back with three wickets in quick succession, including the key wicket of Warner for 32.
Australia then lost Marnus Labuschagne for 28 and Steve Smith for 13, leaving them in a spot of bother at 102-4.
New Zealand will be confident of bowling Australia out on day four and winning the match.
They have a strong bowling attack, led by Tim Southee and Trent Boult, and they will be looking to make early inroads into Australia’s batting lineup
Australia, on the other hand, will need to bat patiently and build partnerships if they want to win the match.
They have a lot of experience in their batting lineup, but they will need to be at their best to chase down the target.
The fourth day of the second Test between New Zealand and Australia is set to be a thrilling one.
